The Dangerous Adventures of Mother Goose

There are two worlds in the play: one is the world of goodness, songs, poems, jokes, games and smiles belonging to the heroes of Edward Lear’s poems and Mother Goose.The other is the world of the brutal Dictator who has criminally seized power. The Dictator kidnaps people and places them in concentration camps. One of the people kidnapped by the Dictator’s thugs is the father of the boy Keith, the protagonist.In the abandoned attic of his house, Kit finds a book of Mother Goose’s poems. Mother Goose comes to life, Kit tells her of his grief, and she promises to help Kit free his father and other captives.
