Screenplay "The Photographs"
by Irena Scalerica
The film is set in 3 different worlds; in Leningrad, Russia, then in Paris, France, and also in the fantasy world of black-and-white photos by French photographer Robert Doisneau. Stalin and his followers’ repressions ruin the lives and happiness of innocent people. The tyranny and immorality of the authorities are proliferating across the generations.
I think your script is beautiful and the emphasis on the theme of love is very strong. I love how the photos tell their story and come to life.
Sophia Gawler, filmmaker, producer, UK.
I think "Photographs" is a real gem. Very simple, very deep, something that touches your heart. It is very easy to read, the words flow simply and naturally, which is a good sign of good writing. The descriptions are very poetic and beautiful and are fertile ground for the director's imagination.
Richard Hydu, producer, director, London.
I read your script "Photographs" in one breath and was absorbed by the good emotions of love and kindness that your story evokes. Only a very bright person could write such a story! Thank you!
Anna Kachko, producer. Germany.
